The Best Part of Music: Playing Live

Last night we had a great time playing at The Federal in NoHo, CA.  It was a special night for a variety of reasons:

a) we had the pleasure of Brandon Coleman gracing us with his mesmerizing keyboard chops!

b)the incredible Regiment Horns played the set with us. Never having rehearsed with us, they absolutely killed it and synced with our band as if it was effortless!

c) percussionist Leddie Garcia was adding amazing textures and thrilling polyrhythms to the mix!

The evening reminded me that nothing is more exciting than the spontaneity of performing with new players at a moments notice and experiencing the beauty that subsequently unfolds.  As enjoyable as writing and recording is (and don’t get me wrong, I love it!) there is not a better feeling in the world than taking songs you’ve written and experimenting and expanding on them in a live format.  And the only thing that tops that is seeing how other musicians interpret your music — and seeing the smiles on their faces as they are doing so.

Performing is our passion.  We can’t wait for you to see The Endangered live and in the moment if you have not yet!  A perfect opportunity to do so is at our EP release event on June 6th at Molly Malones in LA.  Whether you live in LA, nearby, or half way across the world, please know we would love having you at our EP release party to celebrate with us!
